Traditional Teepees (Tipis)

These two 26' diameter traditional teepees (also known as tipis) are located on the rivers edge. Listen to the flow of the river gently singing you to sleep. The teepees are beautifully decorated and have two double and two single raised beds in each. There is a fire pit in the center so you can have a beautiful campfire at night inside the teepee. An allotted amount (one bin full) of Firewood is provided for you as part of your teepee rental fee. Additional firewood is available for $5 per wood bin. There is a shared cooking area with a 3 burner propane stove, sink with hot & cold water, and kitchen utensils/plates/pots etc.. You must supply yourself with all the food you need.  Brinag a cooler along if you need to store any food items cold.   We ask that you store your food either in your car during the night and when you are gone for the day or in the food cache provided. A HOT water outdoor shower is located next to the kitchen shelter. An outhouse is about 100 ft (30m) away from the teepees.

You can either supply your own bedding and towels or for $5/bed/stay we can provide you with clean sheets and bedding. There is no electricity at the teepees so please bring a flashlight along. For cool evenings/mornings - even in the warm summer months - we suggest you bring a warm sweater, gloves, and hat. We're located in the mountains and it can cool down noticeably at night.

Our property is located in a wilderness/mountain environment so that means that we are lucky enough to have wildlife around; from spiders, squirrels, to deer and to the occasional bear.  When you arrive we will go over the guidelines for camping in the Rocky Mountains.  For instance there is no food or drinks (except water), or toiletries allowing inside the teepees.  You must leave these items in the food cache/kitchen area.  And the kitchen area must remain clean and tidy.  Do not leave food or garbage in the area.  If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask.  We have NEVER had a problem because we take care not to be the problem! 

The use of the hot tub at the Main Lodge is available for our teepee guests only upon booking a massage.

The parking area for the teepee guests is about 100ft (30m) away from the teepees. This parking area is only available to those guests who have a 4x4 vehicle (no exceptions).  Be prepared to carry your gear that distance. If your vehicle is not suited for the road, you will have to park in the lodge parking area which is an additional 100ft away up on top of the bank overlooking the Blaeberry River. A wheel barrow can be provided to haul your gear.  Note: this is a "camping" experience so please be prepared. When coming to stay in the Teepees we encourage you to arrive early, i.e before night fall. This will simply make your experience that much more comfortable.
